Nay

For a couple weeks now its been in the back of my mind that Naobi was a bit cooped up, especially for her size. I tried to let her run around as much as possible, but with two kids, one of whom does nothing but irritate her (which irritates me), its a lot on the nerves sometimes. We arent big park people, and she really only got to go outside long enough for a potty break. So we finally started to think maybe we should find a better home for her. We found a woman who had a fenced in yard, lived alone, and already had a dog for naobi to play with. She also had a daughter that she kept a few days of the week at a time. I’ve never been so upset over an animal before, but as hard as it was to give her up I know we did the right thing. We have already heard back about how well she was doing with the other dog, and that she seems very happy in her new home. I still miss her like crazy, but I know she will be happier there. This post is now about candles, unfortunately it is also the end.

Me and my big ideas

After my big decision to not finish saving for my epic flying mount I went and blew all of it on gems, enchants, and finishing out my rep with the Scryer’s, but even after getting pretty well geared for feral, its really frustrating how gimp our current setup is. I have once again flipped and decided to grind out a resto set to maximize our potential in arena. Of course before all that happens I wanted to get my epic first. So all that gold was pretty much wasted on a spec I will no longer be using. Sure it will be nice having the extra damage when I grind from 70-80 in the expansion, but was it worth the gold spent? Probly not. Fortunately I am already half of the way there, and will hopefully finish up in the next few days. I will probly finish up my rep with Sporreger, and help Tyler get revered with Cenarian for the extra damage enchant before I pack up my luggage and make the final change to resto. I really hope the expansion is still a long way away, so that I have plenty of time to enjoy my leet gear, before making the grind to 80.

Wall-E

We recently thought it would be a good idea to take the kids and go see wall-e. big mistake. just getting in cost 20 bucks, then we got to stand in line forever for some burnt ass popcorn and watered down coke. toss on another 20 bucks. i was pretty impressed by the new theater. the screen was super clear, and the sound was great. but thats where the problem started. the sound. it was just too damn loud. before we even got to our seats gavin was freaking the hell out, covering his ears, and saying he wanted to go home. jen managed to calm him down, and we made our way to our seats. as soon as we sat down and wall-e came on gavin started right back up again, but louder, and would not look at the screen at all. we gave him some time to get used to it while laura sat qiuetly watching the movie, until the explosions started and i could tell she was going to get scared and scooped her up. as long as i was holding her she was fine. she even clapped when when parts of earth were blown up, but gavin was now on the floor.
jen gets up to leave and swap out the sorry popcorn, and i am left debating on whether to leave and just eat the forty dollars wasted, or sit through the rest of this crappy movie while my son has a meltdown. We got out pretty fast, like crazy elliptical trainer fast, and luckily the manager was nice enough to give us credits for another movie. makes me think we arent the only ones to complain about the volume of the movie. id rather just have my damn money back tho. so ya wall-e was pretty shit-e.

Finish in Sight

Its been a long grind. long LONG bg grind for my gear, but late last night while going to buy a new piece i realized just how close i was to being finished with my honor gear. many hours spent reading the forums while my teamates fought tooth and nail to capture our bases despite being outnumbered do to afk’ers. its not so much that its boring, its just the repitition blizz has created by not making all the battlegrounds equal. the only one worth running is AV unless you just need marks. after your 20th run of the day you realy just dont care to fight your way to the end only to lose with the boss sitting a mere second or two from victory.
i wont miss it, but thats only cause i will be regrinding a second set for resto. /gag
i dont think the second round will be quite as bad since there wont be any rush to complete it. i dont plan to go full resto till we have reached our max with ms/feral. so if i only get a piece a week its all good. Its not so bad as long as you go for the best buy for your honor points so that you see an increase faster, and dont feel like you are wasting your time.

Just Quit

I love it how the higher up you get in a company the less you have to do, the more you bitch about everyone else, and the more money you make for all of it. its so awesome that i work with certain people who who make a shit ton more than me in their company logo shirts, yet do half the work. just great. the company you work for is paying you more for the extra responsibility YOU are supposed to have, yet you put it on someone else every time it pops up. its funny for someone who bitches so much about how other people are moving up faster , and that noone notices what they do, while in reality if someone really was paying more attention theyd have demoted your ass long ago.
i can only hope that i can have a part in all that…..and that you die in a fire.

i guess blogging can still serve a purpose. i feel better already.

Iphone 3g

So it looks like the new iphone will be out tommorrow morning. I don’t really care cause I have tmobile, but it makes me wonder if this is part of the reason why the Blackberry bold isn’t coming out yet. Sounds like AT&T is trying to ride the hype for both phones rather than blow it all with a double release. I guess it’s not a bad idea, tho I’m sure most people know whether they want the Iphone or Bold without a ton of advertising shoved down their throats. I saw the new iphone commercial today actually. It was pretty lame. They could have saved some cash and just made some promotional pens or something.

Classic

With the big news of Diablo 3 I thought it would be cool to have another run through the first 2 games. Tyler has never played either of them, so we thought we would take a little break from Wow so he could see what was so great about them. Jen may be getting a pc soon, and possibly joining us. Would be fun to get a little group to run through D2 with. I think I soloed both of them for the most part, so having a group would be pretty sweet. I am hoping all Jen will need is a new video card, and possibly a sound card with some huge audio racks. Maybe just a video card.

No hurry

I have finally just said screw it to saving up for my epic mount/flight form. I hate farming. HATE. It’s so boring, and it sucks using what time I have to play just farming for something that I really don’t have to have. I have already blown a lot of gold on gems and enchants, and I don’t regret it at all. I’m not in any rush to get anywhere really, and since im always tanking its not like the group can start without me. It will give me time to check out horse supplies and stuff. Ya. For my horse.

Diablo 3

Yesterday I went to sign on WOW and in the launcher news saw that Blizzard was releasing Diablo 3!! I believe it was also the 10 year anniversary of diablo 2 (man i feel old). There had been rumors for a long time about a diablo 3 release, but I didn’t think it would actually happen. Turns out it has been in development for a couple years already. I hope this means it will be out soon. I still remember how long it took Diablo 2 to come out. That game got pushed back so many times I canceled my preorder on it. Judging by the videos it is going to be bad ass. They need to throw a turbocharger on production and get it out a.s.a.p.

Welfare Line

Season 4 officially started on the 24th, and since I had an app running to check the servers I was one of the first to log in. It was definitely the calm before the storm, as within a few minutes people started pouring in to buy both season 4 and the welfare season 2 gear sets. I made the mistake of standing around debating if i really wanted to spend my points on the piece I had originally planned, and by the time I made up my mind the crowd of people surrounding the vendor was insane. It was a real pain trying to find and right click on the vendor. I can’t believe Blizzard couldnt come up with a better way to purchase gear, tho I admit it does add to the fun of the new season. I wish I had taken a screen at the peak of the chaos, but all I got was an early screen when the peeps first started signing on. I noticed a lot of familiar toons in the early pile, and a lot of members from the KVM guild. Hopefully by next season I won’t even need anything from the BG vendor, and will be sporting a nice S4 set myself.
