It’s not so much that I hate sports, tho I do, but mainly I can’t stand how during football season everyone I work with spends the entire day glued to the tv. Me being the non-sportsfan am left to do all the extra little stuff that they are completely oblivious to because they are almost a mile away from the building. Everyone totally zones out too, hook them up to a portable oxygen concentrator and an I.V. and call it a day.

I still have not gotten the issues with my life insurance and junk corrected at work. It should not be this hard. I am starting to think they are purposefully making it more difficult than it should be. I need to get a life insurance quote from somewhere else, and just tell them to shove it. Every time I try to call them they are closed. I swear they have the most jacked up hours I’ve ever seen. That crap should be 24 hours. I’m sure its just a couple of foreigners in a room with some phones and a crappy dell computer.
I love it how the higher up you get in a company the less you have to do, the more you bitch about everyone else, and the more money you make for all of it. its so awesome that i work with certain people who who make a shit ton more than me in their company logo shirts,yet do half the work. just great. the company you work for is paying you more for the extra responsibility YOU are supposed to have, yet you put it on someone else every time it pops up. its funny for someone who bitches so much about how other people are moving up faster , and that noone notices what they do, while in reality if someone really was paying more attention theyd have demoted your ass long ago.
i can only hope that i can have a part in all that…..and that you die in a fire.
i guess blogging can still serve a purpose. i feel better already.
So far this summer is kicking my Ass. Maybe I am just getting old, but even after one of my shorter days I am still finding myself exhausted by midnight. That’s pretty early for me. I even tried downing a bunch of coffee but it doesn’t seem to make any difference at all. It doesn’t help that naobi is usually sprawled out beside me all comfy looking. I thought was actually going to fall asleep at the computer the other night. Sure that would give Jen a good laugh before work. I can only imagine if I had a playstation 3 or some other console, I’d be out as soon as I hit the couch.
I have trouble understanding how some people are so into their jobs. And I’m not talking corporate-suit-and-tie type jobs either. I’ve worked a lot of places, and there is always that one person who acts as tho they have become the company robot. They always have their annoying little reminders of the “proper” way it is done. Gotta love the times you’ll be talking smack about something job related and they always have to chime in with how “thats a good way to get fired”. No shit moron. Who really runs their mouth about something and then actually goes and does it. Really what do some people get out of being such a tool? You can kiss all the ass you want, but at the end of the day your job still sucks and your right in the same boat with the rest of us. Get over yourself and get a life insurance quote.
Since I am already posting about cars, I saw a fender bender in the parking lot at work the other night. It was pretty dark out and Employee A was in a hurry to get in her car and take off, as was Employee B. One came swooping by , and without looking the other floored it straight into their back end. It looked awesome in person, and luckily noone was hurt. One car was flawless, but the other had some rear damage and a busted tail light. Maybe she should consider some tail light guards for that hooptie.
Its almost been a month since we bought our car. For the most part is is doing pretty well, with a few minor things here and there we need to get fixed up. Hopefully they can handle that, but I am probly giving them way too much credit. I doubt they can properly change a tire. As long as they dont do anything to it that would cause a wreck we should be ok. I guess thats why we pay for car insurance tho.
With all the new changes going on at work, there are a lot of pissed off employees. They are basically doubling our work, but have yet to hire any extra help. I was already stressed at the fact that for the most part of the day I feel as tho I am spread too thin among all the things I have to get done. The only good thing I see coming out of it is with them moving some stuff around they have also freed up 2-3 people to work on other tasks. I just wonder how big a help that will actually be. I am so sick of inspecting cars and searching for logo pens. There is never a pen in our building so you spend a ridiculous amount of time searching for something to right with before you can even start.
I recently have been putting a lot of thought into a change of employment. I heard of a job through another coworker and the more I heard about it the better it sounded. The more I asked about it, the more unbelievable it became, and up until tonight I was all set to ditch my job as soon as I could get my foot in the door there. Luckily tonight I got to bounce some questions off another coworker who had spent a few days there, while salesmen seemed to constantly interrupt us to ask about our tool storage and what type of tools we had. After talking it over for a while it really seems that although the pay is a huge step up, the job itself is a giant leap in the opposite direction of where I want to be heading. I am sure this would be another one of those times in my life where I don’t realize what I had until its far too late, which is a huge bummer, cause I feel like I am letting my family down by not at least trying it out. I also found out tonight tho that our insurance may be making a big change, and I hope that it will become more affordable. I also have a raise coming in the next few months, and am hoping It is a bit better than the year before.
Does anyone else need a safety utility knife as much as i do? The things I could do! Anyways, we had a meeting at work and now everyone is pretty pissed off. There is clearly going to be a lot of changes, and some people are starting to show just how much of a tool they can really be. Aside from my issue with getting to work on time tho none of it really affects me much, mainly because I don’t care enough. Maybe now the people who are doing the majority of the work won’t be thrown in the same boat as the people who can’t stay awake.
