My son received his personalized cd in the mail just a few days ago, and he has been loving it. He got the Elmo one, and throughout the disc they actually say his name as if they are singing to him. They offer a huge selection of personalized CD’s as well as personalized books to choose from. They have everything from Sesame Street to Mickey Mouse. On their DVD’s they even personalize the covers with a photo of your child. The personalized books would make a great gift for a child of any age. They even have products for adults! If you are having trouble finding the right gift for someone, or would like your story time to be more personalized for your child, be sure to check them out.

I have always wanted to incorporate subtitles or captioning in my avi movies for our divx player, but never could get them to read. When a friend of mine started trying to do the same thing and was also unsuccessful I decided I would give it another shot. I found and application called DivXMux. It can take an .avi file, and a subtitle .srt file and combine them into one .divx file. It doesn’t even have to reencode the whole move like some of the other apps do, so it is fast as hell, and could’nt be simpler. I had issues getting audio to work, but soon found you have to use the .avi file once again for your audio track. I also thought that since the subtitles werent showing when viewed on my pc, that they wouldnt on my divx player as well, but found that I just needed to hit the subtitle button on my divx. Really nice application if you want to watch movies in another language, or have parts with them.
Today I was thinking about how long I have been listening to devildriver almost exclusively. Its almost been a year. I guess it says a lot when you can wear something out that long and still not be sick of it. The only thing that sucks is now whenever I listen to anything else I just feel bored. Luckily the lead singer says they don’t plan to stop releasing albums anytime soon. Woot. Its definately not for everyone tho. I can definately hear a pantera influence in there which is probly what initially attracted me to them in the first place. I also like the corny videos that give the impression that they don’t take themselves overly serious like most metal bands. I have searched the net up and down for a band that sounds at least a tad similar, but nothing comes close. So far the closest show they have done is texas, but if they ever come to tennessee I will have to score some of those Wicked tickets.
