With the big news of Diablo 3 I thought it would be cool to have another run through the first 2 games. Tyler has never played either of them, so we thought we would take a little break from Wow so he could see what was so great about them. Jen may be getting a pc soon, and possibly joining us. Would be fun to get a little group to run through D2 with. I think I soloed both of them for the most part, so having a group would be pretty sweet. I am hoping all Jen will need is a new video card, and possibly a sound card with some huge audio racks. Maybe just a video card.

Yesterday I went to sign on WOW and in the launcher news saw that Blizzard was releasing Diablo 3!! I believe it was also the 10 year anniversary of diablo 2 (man i feel old). There had been rumors for a long time about a diablo 3 release, but I didn’t think it would actually happen. Turns out it has been in development for a couple years already. I hope this means it will be out soon. I still remember how long it took Diablo 2 to come out. That game got pushed back so many times I canceled my preorder on it. Judging by the videos it is going to be bad ass. They need to throw a turbocharger on production and get it out a.s.a.p.
My pvp gear has been coming along rather nicely. So much that I haven’t been doing any posts. Who has time! About to start working on my ring set. Some serious designer jewelry hehe. It is a lot more time consuming than I thought it would be, but luckily I havent burnt out on it yet. I can only imagine how long it will take to finish.
Through the years I have somehow managed to miss out on the original Battletoads. I remember playing one of them on SENS back in the day, but it wasn’t till today I really gave the original a good run (at work hehe. Blackjack for the win!) I originally had written it off as another Double Dragon, with frogs, but aside from beating things up they couldn’t be more different. Mainly due to Battletoads not sucking. Everything about Battletoads is better than Double Dragon. The animation is better, it controls better, better sound, and most importantly it is more fun. But man is it hard. HARD. Granted I have been playing it on a phone, but that hasn’t been a problem for any of my other games. Its just an all around great game, and its crazy I have gone this long and never really played it. Considering it’s age it also really proves once again that graphics, hype, and some fancy marketing do not make a good game. Now back to figuring out what a Schlage is.
Finally got around to leveling my druid to 30, which gives me travel form. Woot. Not quite as fast as a mount, but its free, and its instant so it’s good for making a getaway. This character is starting to grow on me. They can do so many cool things, it keeps it from getting boring. Most other characters eventually fall into the routine of doing basically the same thing over and over, but with my druid I have plenty of options, and can completely change my role on the fly. I am surprised tho at how small travel form is compared to all the others. Looks like my big ol druid would have to have been on diet pills to have squeezed into that form.
As much fun as I have been having on my Lock, I am starting to feel like an alt is needed. When I am running solo there isnt much I can do without feeling like I am getting ahead, and when I do get ahead I spend the next night or so waiting on others to catch up. Soooooo I spent a retarded amount of time debating on which character I should work solo. I already have the druid up to 27, but I really tried to not factor that in since it wont take long at all to solo to 27 anyway. Aside from the speed of cat form, there isn’t a whole lot I like about druids, and once I get a mount and some + horse riding apparel it won’t matter anyway. So that pretty much left me with trying a hunter again, or giving a pally a shot. I took a hunter to 10, and it looks like it will be a lot of fun, especially for soloing. I’ve tried a pally back in the day and wasn’t impressed much, but reconsidered after hearing how much they have changed. So for the next few days I will probly work those two classes, and maybe throw in another to make sure my future time invested will be well spent.
Tyler and I finally managed to hit level 40 and get our mounts last night. We both happened to have classes that got them for free, but for once I actually had enough to pay for it if I had needed to. This is the third character I have gotten past 40, but this one was definitely the fastest. It has been just under two months, which is pretty pathetic still, but not bad considering I have a job and a life. Wonder how long it will take us to hit the big 7 0. Probly forever. When we do we will have to break out the bar stools and celebrate.
Finally hit level 20 on my Druid. 21 actually, but the 20 is more important cause I got cat form. Level 20 is no huge achievement, but considering it is not my main character I am surprised I actually played it long enough to get him to 20. It is everything I dreamed it would be, sneaking up behind people and popping out behind them them…till they realize I’m only 21 and can’t really do much to them….yet. It’s coming tho. Probably sometime in 09. Btw I have no use for makeup mirrors, just felt you should know.
Gotta love Tuesday wow maintenance. At least it forces me to do something else for a few hours tho. Now that the dishes are done and the house is tidied up tho I can’t decide whether to watch a crappy movie or just bs around the web. I should probly at least throw on a new theme to the site or something. And could I get any more drug treatment related links? Seriously.
After getting wow reinstalled virus free I noticed the loader screen had changed to a picture of the headless horseman and had a caption about hallows end. After getting logged in and stopping by the bank I ran into someone with a quest for me to turn in at another city. When I arrived there was a woman wearing an orc mask who wanted me to put out some fires down the road. So I grabbed a pale of water, ran down the street, and chucked some water on the fires. The masked woman rewarded me with some halloween candy that turned me orange and made me taller. It was sweet.
I then read that every 3-4 hours the headless horseman spawned in the Scarlet Monastery dungeon. I looked him up and he sounds pretty tough, but if you kill him he drops some pretty cool stuff. Today Tyler informed me that while he was hanging out around the masked chic with the candy the headless horseman set a bunch of buildings on fire, and if you put them out you get rewarded with more treats, and some sexy costumes like bats, skeletons, and jack-o-lantern heads. That’s one of the killer things about wow. They are always doing seasonal stuff to keep it interesting.
