Feeds

I have been looking for a rss notifier for blackberry, but havent really found anything good. I would be happy with something that would just email me when something is updated so i can go to the actual site to check it out, but the closest thing I found was Yahoo! Alerts. Much like everything else Yahoo, it sucked major balls. Half the sites I had set up never notified me, while others, including my sisters, constantly emailed me of the same content. Fail. So the search continues. If anyone knows of a nice free app be sure to let me know, I’d hate to miss anything new from the wine of the month club.

Delucia Returns!

As soon as  I post about ditching my mage tyler called and told me he wanted to finish our alts. So for the past couple days we have been running them through instances and a lil questing. It has gone pretty fast, but is costing quite a bit in repairs and training up new skills. I am officially in brokesville, and have probly blown enough gold to buy the moon, if that’s possible.  We managed to hit 50, and are taking a break for the weekend to finish gear on our mains. Av weekend ftw!

Time for Change

After a bit of looking around for hotel deals, I got the urge to maybe spiff up the site. Considering Wow is pretty much all I blog about, I am thinking maybe a nice Warcraft theme. Assuming I can find one of course. I think I have actually tried a couple before and wasnt all that impressed, but maybe some new ones have been made.

R.I.P. Delucia

After 22 hours of dragging the 2 new lowbie characters along with my druid through instances, I started to get a little irritated at how hard it was to get my partner in this to even log on. My friends had already reached 40 on their second set of new recruits, and I was doing good to even get mine on to loot for me, and considering we were nearing the questing part of things I decided it was no longer worth my time if noone was going to help. I thought the whole plan was to knock it out asap and possibly catch some of the next av weekend, maybe have enough time to try out some Callaway golf clubs . Ah well. The mage was pretty fun of what I got to play of it, but screw all that. If I want to cast stuff I’ll just pay the 50g and spec balance for a while. Maybe one day I’ll dust Delucia off and finish him, but I have enough trouble managing one char.

Recruite a Friend

So Wow launched this new promotion to get new people to try out the game, and is allowing current players to “Recruit” the new players and receive perks for doing so. Not only do you get to summon each other once per hour, but you get 3X the experience gain. I really don’t see anyone using this promotion to finally talk their friends into playing. Everyone is already playing, and those who arent probly wont be swayed by faster xp gain. Instead I am seeing a lot of people doing what my friends and I have done. Purchasing the extra account and linking it to your current one, and powerleveling through the game at record time. My friends Jeff and Andy pulled off 1-60 in just a few days of playing 2-3 hours a day. Not bad at all. Tyler and I have decided to do the same, so instead of my constant bitch fest about my Druid, I am grinding out a mage. It’s not that I havent enjoyed my druid, but if i had known from the start that I would wind up healing there is no way I’d have gone to 70. I play wow to kill people, not heal them. Melting face on a mage looks fun as hell. I say its money well spent. It’s not like we are saving up for any Caribbean cruises or anything.

Cracker

Our little girl has finally started to say a few more words, and it is the cutest thing ever. Especially when she says “Cracker”. It’s crazy how fast she is growing. We are so excited that she is making progress in her speach. Gavin took much longer to start talking, and continues to struggle with his comprehension, tho he is still improving too. We were surprised that even some harder words we tried to get her to say as a joke, she actually came pretty close to saying. Tho our fun was soon ruined when they came to clean the patios and we had to break out the patio furniture covers.

8800

Me and Jen are both rocking a blackberry 8800 now, and I must say it is easily the best phone I have owned so far. Considering how many handhelds and PDAs I have owned, that means quite a lot. The only thing it is missing is a camera, but i NEVER take pics. I love the keys, the bright screen, and all the other great stuff that comes with owning a blackberry. I don’t see me switching phones for a while, and when I do it will probly just be to another 8800.
