Oh Blackrock Mountain, How I Hate Thee

A few days ago, before I logged off wow for the night I decided I would journey over to Kargath to at least get started on the quest chain for the Mark of Tyranny trinket. Since Blackrock Mountain was so close I decided to run on over and look around. I’ve been run through Molten Core before, but have never been in either parts of Blackrock Spire before. Needless to say it didn’t take long before I was lost, and since it was getting late I decided to pick back up the next day.

When I get on the next day Tyler is on as well and wanted to come with me. We made our way to Lower Blackrock Spire(LBRS) planning to roll right on through. Instead we got lost and ended up wandering around in circles till Jen got home and I took another break. This time when I came back I was armed with Atlas (map mod), but after more wandering around i still didn’t really know how to get where i needed to go since there are so many levels in LBRS. I decided I wasn’t leaving till I got what I came for and after roaming around for I don’t know how long, I walked right into the boss I needed. I took him out, as well as the next, and then began the search for the documents. It wasn’t all that bad. Only took a few extra minutes more. With everything I needed from LBRS I made my way back to Orgrimmar, handed the shit in to Thrall and got the final quest I needed for my Trinket. Simple enough, just head back in to Blackrock and go to Upper Blackrock Spire(UBRS). Piece of cake right.

I get to the door for UBRS, and oh boy oh boy its locked. I needed a ring to open it. After looking it up I find that i have to do a quest for the ring, and of course…..its back in LBRS. So i spend more time crawling in LBRS looking for this dude. It wasnt as bad as before, and I didn’t even have to rumble with the bosses again. All I had to do was head to Dustwallow, kill this dragon, and bring something back for him. Cool. This sounded like a good stopping point for the day.

I get home yesterday ready to finally get this hellish quest over with, Jen went out to get a tv for a bit and It seemed I would have just enough time to at least get the damn door open for UBRS. Of course I had never been to Dustwallow on my Druid and had to mount up for the trip. Still not that bad considering I have my epic and all. I get to the cave and being the rtard I am, I kill the dragon. then I skim over the quest and find out I have to use the items I was given. Cool. Wait for the respawn, and while I am fighting the dragon i use the items i was given, and still did it wrong. Had to look up some instructions and when I go back for a third attempt i realize I’ve used all the items.

Then I start to panic. I know damn well where I will have to go to restock. LBRS. Dammit. I abandon the quest. Travel back to LBRS, find douchebag who gave me the quest and try to start all over again. Yet he is resisting. He will not give me the quest again. I assume it is linked to the quest for the trinket so I abandon it too, head back to orgrimmar and start over. Still no quest. Looked it up online and find out it is bugged. I head BACK to LBRS and start killing trash mobs to get this damn seal to drop. It took a while. I finally get the seal, get the quest, head back to dustwallow, own the dragon, and finally return to finish the quest. I have the ring. Booyah.

I make my way back to the UBRS door, it opens. Sweeeeeet. I take out the first crowded room to open the 2nd door. I step inside to fight the first boss and nothing happens. I run around trying to get some aggro going and nothing. I then find that I have to have 2 more people with me to activate the boss………. It’s 3 in the morning and noone is on. Great. Great. Great. All that work for NOTHING. It is now day 3 of Blackrock Mountain HELL and still noone is on. I just don’t even really feel like playing much today after all this. I am going to need Lasik from staring at this monitor so long. All of this for an extra 180 armor, to tank for a guild that really doesn’t even care about getting to heroics. God I love this game sometimes.

Pearl

Still pretty pleased with the Blackberry Pearl. There are times i miss the full qwerty keyboard, but I am digging the smaller form factor, as well as the ability to use the numeric keypad for games and opera mini. I just need to get used to the Suretype. The biggest thing seems to be learning which words to replace so that it will default to them, rather than having to constantly pick a word. I haven’t really seen a huge difference in browsing speeds from Tmobile to Verizon either, other than when downloading something. Opera mini really flies even on a slower connection. I thought it was pretty cool that tmobile has games available for the pearl too. Usually theres not much to choose from on a Blackberry when it comes to gaming. Still wouldn’t mind another curve, not to be a cell phone repeater or anything. Can be frustrating when you cant type what you want to say without editing a million things.

Feral 4 Life

So I decided to stick with Feral spec. I went 70 levels as feral, I’ve watched every feral video made, and I’ve read everything I could find on it in my journey to 70. I do pretty decent healing as Resto, but with Chip offering to take either role it really helped me to pick what I wanted to do, rather than what I thought would help out more. All in all its just more fun. Dailies are faster. And I prefer killing to healing. It was a nice feeling after making my decision and getting jumped by a pretty little rogue and a warrior while doing my dailies, then ripping them and their corset both to shreds. I think people tend to not expect a lot from a Druid, It makes the owning that much sweeter.

Tmob ftw

After a lot of back and forth with phones at Verizon, I wondered why Kelley, Jen, and I never got on a family plan in the past. I ran the idea by my sister and she thought it was a good idea as well. Soooo we went back to Verizon to take back the phones and cancel our service. They fought us on the return, but offered to comp the majority of our first bill, and let us swap our phones to reduce our monthly bill. The problem is tho, we didn’t want those phones, or their Anoretix service, hehe. After getting the phones with kelley at Tmobile, we took the new phones back to Verizon, and were not taking no for an answer. Luckily they didn’t put up much of a fight, and we got most of our money back. Tmobile is so much clearer, not to mention cheaper especially with us sharing the bill. Dunno why we never thought of this sooner.
