With the big news of Diablo 3 I thought it would be cool to have another run through the first 2 games. Tyler has never played either of them, so we thought we would take a little break from Wow so he could see what was so great about them. Jen may be getting a pc soon, and possibly joining us. Would be fun to get a little group to run through D2 with. I think I soloed both of them for the most part, so having a group would be pretty sweet. I am hoping all Jen will need is a new video card, and possibly a sound card with some huge audio racks. Maybe just a video card.

I have finally just said screw it to saving up for my epic mount/flight form. I hate farming. HATE. It’s so boring, and it sucks using what time I have to play just farming for something that I really don’t have to have. I have already blown a lot of gold on gems and enchants, and I don’t regret it at all. I’m not in any rush to get anywhere really, and since im always tanking its not like the group can start without me. It will give me time to check out horse supplies and stuff. Ya. For my horse.

Yesterday I went to sign on WOW and in the launcher news saw that Blizzard was releasing Diablo 3!! I believe it was also the 10 year anniversary of diablo 2 (man i feel old). There had been rumors for a long time about a diablo 3 release, but I didn’t think it would actually happen. Turns out it has been in development for a couple years already. I hope this means it will be out soon. I still remember how long it took Diablo 2 to come out. That game got pushed back so many times I canceled my preorder on it. Judging by the videos it is going to be bad ass. They need to throw a turbocharger on production and get it out a.s.a.p.

Season 4 officially started on the 24th, and since I had an app running to check the servers I was one of the first to log in. It was definitely the calm before the storm, as within a few minutes people started pouring in to buy both season 4 and the welfare season 2 gear sets. I made the mistake of standing around debating if i really wanted to spend my points on the piece I had originally planned, and by the time I made up my mind the crowd of people surrounding the vendor was insane. It was a real pain trying to find and right click on the vendor. I can’t believe Blizzard couldnt come up with a better way to purchase gear, tho I admit it does add to the fun of the new season. I wish I had taken a screen at the peak of the chaos, but all I got was an early screen when the peeps first started signing on. I noticed a lot of familiar toons in the early pile, and a lot of members from the KVM guild. Hopefully by next season I won’t even need anything from the BG vendor, and will be sporting a nice S4 set myself.

Just found out the official date for Arena Season 4. June 24th. Should be plenty of time to grind out enough honor and marks to grab a couple pieces on the first day. Probly going to regem my current set for tanking considering I havent even bothered to gem them at all yet. I really wish I’d never bought any Season 1 gear at all and just waited, but at least its not wasted. I made sure to get the pieces that would still be good for something after the new gear was released. I love how they announce it after I am so completely sick of running BG’s. I have found the best way is to semi-afk while on the phone. I am still defending so people cant really bitch about it, actually noone even notices since I am still getting a few kills. I had totally planned to get cracking on my epic mount, but now i will be stuck in the BG’s. /die. I’d rather put that time into something else, like I dunno, a franchise of some sort. ah well.

So the Suretype keyboard of the Pearl has finally gotten to me. I think my fingers are just too big for that phone. I cant get off more than a word or two without screwing up, erasing, and trying again 3 or 4 times. This proves once again I have to have a qwerty keyboard. With that said I will be swapping for the Tmobile Dash. I loved my blackjack and it is practically the same phone. The only thing I will really be loosing is BB messenger and the awesome BB battery life, but its worth it to get the full keyboard back. Not to mention Windows Mobile is the shiznay. So many people moan and complain about it, and its mainly cause they are noobs. Movies, NES, SNES, GBA, and a bajillion other kickass apps for it, not to mention the endless customization through the registry. Ah ya. So much more than just a pocket watch.

With naobi being so good with her housebreaking we decided to loosen the reigns a bit and let her start crashing with us. Surprising to us tho it seems naobi would rather sleep in her own bed. I don’t know if it weirds her out since she never goes in our room or if her lil bed is actually more comfortable. maybe memory foam just isn’t for everyone. Maybe we should just put her bed by ours so she can sleep wherever she feels like. She is big enough for saddles anyway now, not sure theres room for her in out bed.

I have been 70 too long to still be slow poking around. I would probly already have the gold had I not been respeccing 10x a day. What time I have to play I just hate spending farming for leather or working herbalism. I think going to go for it this week tho. Just tough it out and farm my ass off. I really wish I had worked enchanting as I leveled just to disenchant things off the auction house and resell higher. I may still do that, but not till after the epic, considering you need a small fortune to get anywhere with enchanting. Maybe I can farm while I watch a movie so its not so bad. I need a video card that will let me run both in a window. Oh man I could afk all day in BG’s.

So far this summer is kicking my Ass. Maybe I am just getting old, but even after one of my shorter days I am still finding myself exhausted by midnight. That’s pretty early for me. I even tried downing a bunch of coffee but it doesn’t seem to make any difference at all. It doesn’t help that naobi is usually sprawled out beside me all comfy looking. I thought was actually going to fall asleep at the computer the other night. Sure that would give Jen a good laugh before work. I can only imagine if I had a playstation 3 or some other console, I’d be out as soon as I hit the couch.

OS 4.5 has finally come out for GSM blackberries. I was about to toss on the beta, but for some reason decided I would check the forums to see if I had the latest, only to find the official 4.5 was out. Woot. I backed everything up and tossed it on. It took a lot longer than any of the other OS’s I’ve put on my blackberry. Maybe cause its so chock full of awesome. After it loaded up and everything was restored how I had it, I gave it a spin. Holy slowness. I was getting the hourglass every time I tried to load something new. It was pretty frustrating. But I assumed it was just a temporary thing.

I made my way straight to the browser to see how youtube was over Edge vs. 3G. Not too shabby. The video seemed to stream just as well as it did with Verizon, and it seemed to fit the screen better. Unfortunately the Pearl has a pretty soft speaker, but it sounded fine with the headphones. Tho my phone did crash upon exiting the video, I remeber my curve did the same thing the first time I watched a youtube video on it and never gave me another problem.

The OS seems to have sped up considerably after the next restart as well. I havent checked out any html email on it yet, mainly cause I hardly get email, but I do like the new Suretype system a lot. I was also excited that the forbidden AIM client that has been been on the blackberry site for so long was incorporated into the OS, unfortunately when I tried to log in it said it was enabled for that device. Bummer.

The media features on 4.5 have a nice new look to them, and the media player has a few lil features added, tho nothing very different than 4.3 on the Verizon Blackberries. It is still to early to tell wether or not I will keep it on my Pearl. As long as there aren’t any more crashes, and the speed stays at a non frustrating level I will keep it. Otherwise its back to 4.2 till the next release. Now I will get back to checking out these Guess watches I found.
