Decisions

Soooo its no big secret that I am back to playing Warcraft, sort of. Haven’t really had a lot of time, and what time extra time I have had has been wasted deciding which character I want to focus on. I don’t have time to do both for sure, its just hard choosing between the two. They both have their ups and downs. My druid seems a better fit with my being able to stealth and go AFK to tend to the kids or dog. I just hate to leave my lock behind. I will probly continue to work both until I have a strong lean towards one or the other.

I have also been thinking about how cool it would be to put my lcd monitor on the wall. We had a bit of a time putting up our tv wall mount but I think we could easily pull it off a second time.

Upgrade time! again!

Once again Tmobile has fed the addiction and is letting Jen and I upgrade again. She went with a Blackberry Curve, which I have yet to hear a bad comment on so I dont see any reason she wont like it. I went with a Sidekick Slide, which is a pretty big jump from the type of phones i usually get. Jen has owned one before, and I only checked it out briefly. I did notice a few things tho. The screen can light a room, it gets loud as hell, and it looks killer. Hopefully they will be here by Wednesday along with that gold anklet that I ordered for my….uhh…dog. Right, the dog.

Finally

After a week of madness with laura being ill, she seems to finally be feeling better. Every time we took her to the doctor/hospital they said it was something different and would change her antibiotics. This last time someone finally gave her something for her pain and tested her blood to get the correct antibiotic in her. She slept through the night for the first time in over a week, and is just chilling watching some blues clues. Her fever seems to be staying down as well. Now maybe i can get these chandeliers installed.

Scroll on this

I really wish I could find a phone I like. It’s feeling more and more like that will just never happen. I finally got another 8700 back in my paws, and while the keyboard is every bit as sweet as i remember it being, the scroll wheel drives me insane. Every time it misclicks i try to take a second and breathe, but want nothing more than to throw the phone out the window, and back it over till its nothing more than dust. While its looking less likely I will ever find one I fully like, you can be sure there are some phones that I simply will never own again, and the 8700 has officially made that list. I really need to look into some kind of directbuy or maybe a demo program. Im not asking for a badass perfect phone, just one that doesnt have some insanely retarded flaw in it. Why is this so hard?

Naobi

After much debating, and deciding Laura’s doctor was full of it about her being allergic to dogs, we got ourselves a sheltie. Keeping with our doggie Matrix we decided on the name Naobi. Actually we had planned to name her that, changed our mind to Carli, but Gav kept calling her Naobi anyway so it stuck. She is adapting to us really well. Its nice having a bigger dog for once. She isn’t too big. We won’t be needing any saddles or anything. She is just the right size. As much as I dreaded housebreaking another dog, it is actually going great. I actually dont mind taking her out at all. Its nice to get some fresh air every couple hours anyway.

Fender Bender

Since I am already posting about cars, I saw a fender bender in the parking lot at work the other night. It was pretty dark out and Employee A was in a hurry to get in her car and take off, as was Employee B. One came swooping by , and without looking the other floored it straight into their back end. It looked awesome in person, and luckily noone was hurt. One car was flawless, but the other had some rear damage and a busted tail light. Maybe she should consider some tail light guards for that hooptie.

Repair time

Its almost been a month since we bought our car. For the most part is is doing pretty well, with a few minor things here and there we need to get fixed up. Hopefully they can handle that, but I am probly giving them way too much credit. I doubt they can properly change a tire. As long as they dont do anything to it that would cause a wreck we should be ok. I guess thats why we pay for car insurance tho.

Germy

If there is one thing school is good for, its brining home germs. Gavin pretty much stays sick. I’ve never heard of a kid having to miss school at least one day a week. Not only that but he brings it home to us and his little sister. This last batch of germs he brought home was extra brutal. I did my best to finish my work day on Saturday, but by night I couldnt take any more and had to leave early. My voice is pretty much gone and I can’t stop coughing. I can only hope that he will have eventually caught so many colds that he will have built somewhat of an immune system. I guess its just part of being a germy kid. A cold really is nothing compared to something like mesothelioma or something else serious.

Pip Pip Cheerio

I have been drinking a lot of tea lately, trying to give up coffee. There are just so many damn teas to try out. So far anything with fruit or mint in it is absolutely disgusting. The only exception to that has been green tea with mango. Not bad. The only ones other than that which I actually liked were the vanilla caramel black tea, and chamomile. Still plenty to check out tho. I just dont ever see myself liking any of them like i do coffee. mmmm coffee.

Laura’s first birthday is only a few days away, unfortunately I have used up all my sick and vacation hours, but Its not the end of the world and theres no way im working on the princesses birthday. I’m going to try my best to actually save up my vacation hours this year, hopefully Jen and I can come across some vacation deals and actually take a real vacation for once.

More ER Fun

I have had a pain in my stomach the last few days, and today it finally got to the point that I felt i needed to see a doctor. We went ahead and went to the emergency room. They did some xrays and had me drink a lot of nasty stuff. They were going to do and upper GI but because I ate that damn bagel this morning they couldnt. I had been taking ampicillin  and prilosec thinking that it was an ulcer, but they said the ampicillin was probly doing more harm than good. They also put me on some new pill that sounds similar to prilosec, as well as some nasty chalk stuff i have to drink once a day. They said if it isnt better in a week I will go back for the upper GI test. I am just not glad it isnt a huge ulcer or stomach cancer. It took a good 4 hours, and there was a brat screaming in the room behind us. It was torture. I just feel worn out now, but I still have to find some cheap pens. If only I could find a link to some.
