I have always wanted to incorporate subtitles or captioning in my avi movies for our divx player, but never could get them to read. When a friend of mine started trying to do the same thing and was also unsuccessful I decided I would give it another shot. I found and application called DivXMux. It can take an .avi file, and a subtitle .srt file and combine them into one .divx file. It doesn’t even have to reencode the whole move like some of the other apps do, so it is fast as hell, and could’nt be simpler. I had issues getting audio to work, but soon found you have to use the .avi file once again for your audio track. I also thought that since the subtitles werent showing when viewed on my pc, that they wouldnt on my divx player as well, but found that I just needed to hit the subtitle button on my divx. Really nice application if you want to watch movies in another language, or have parts with them.

Its not hard to see why buy.com rocks. They have a massive product selection available, and many free shipping offers on them as well. But most importantly they have awesome prices. They also have a price comparison search engine to see all competitors prices, which shows how confident they are of their prices. Many of their products have professional and customer video reviews so you can get a better look at what you are buying, as well as hear others opinions on the product. They are currently offering a google checkout coupon to all new customers so you can get an exclusive $10 off any purchase and see why buy.com rocks for yourself.
Our move out/in date is just around the corner. Jen realized we could move a week earlier than we had orignally planned, which is great cause this place is a dump. I totally love the new pad. Bottom floor, tons of parking, in the back, and we are by the woods instead of a parking lot. It will be nice not hearing the blaring systems, and morons flying through the parking lot due to it being so conveniently placed between two main roads.
With the new lease also came time for us to take a look at our benefits package. With the kids already covered, we had to opt out of coverage for Jen and I as it is just far too expensive where I work. We did add vision since Jen is having trouble with her eyes, and I kept dental because Gavin and I have some wimpy ass teeth. Hopefully next year I will have either moved on to a job with a better package, or my current job will ease up on the price. Till then I will read up on medicare part d. Yep.
With all the new changes going on at work, there are a lot of pissed off employees. They are basically doubling our work, but have yet to hire any extra help. I was already stressed at the fact that for the most part of the day I feel as tho I am spread too thin among all the things I have to get done. The only good thing I see coming out of it is with them moving some stuff around they have also freed up 2-3 people to work on other tasks. I just wonder how big a help that will actually be. I am so sick of inspecting cars and searching for logo pens. There is never a pen in our building so you spend a ridiculous amount of time searching for something to right with before you can even start.
