As much fun as I have been having on my Lock, I am starting to feel like an alt is needed. When I am running solo there isnt much I can do without feeling like I am getting ahead, and when I do get ahead I spend the next night or so waiting on others to catch up. Soooooo I spent a retarded amount of time debating on which character I should work solo. I already have the druid up to 27, but I really tried to not factor that in since it wont take long at all to solo to 27 anyway. Aside from the speed of cat form, there isn’t a whole lot I like about druids, and once I get a mount and some + horse riding apparel it won’t matter anyway. So that pretty much left me with trying a hunter again, or giving a pally a shot. I took a hunter to 10, and it looks like it will be a lot of fun, especially for soloing. I’ve tried a pally back in the day and wasn’t impressed much, but reconsidered after hearing how much they have changed. So for the next few days I will probly work those two classes, and maybe throw in another to make sure my future time invested will be well spent.

Tyler and I finally managed to hit level 40 and get our mounts last night. We both happened to have classes that got them for free, but for once I actually had enough to pay for it if I had needed to. This is the third character I have gotten past 40, but this one was definitely the fastest. It has been just under two months, which is pretty pathetic still, but not bad considering I have a job and a life. Wonder how long it will take us to hit the big 7 0. Probly forever. When we do we will have to break out the bar stools and celebrate.
At work today I had the pleasure of driving a customers car to and from a repair shop about 4-5 miles of where I work. Not only was it a Nissan, but it was the same year and model as ours. And what do you know….the breaks were quite, and it was even raining today. I had already planned to take the van back in to get them to fix the rear brakes again, but now I am really going to get on them about it if they try to give me any static. If we could just get rid of the screaming brakes, and maybe throw on a car spoiler, the van would be pretty pimping. Maybe some rims too.
I have been thinking of slapping on a new theme to the site, and touching things up a bit, but as usual don’t see anything that interests me at all. We still haven’t heard back anything at work on who our new manager will be. I am more interested in getting them to fix our screaming ass brakes. If I hear “It’s a Nissan” one more time someone is getting a throat punch. It’s funny how when you are buying the vehicle it is a completely different tone. They did finally fix the front brakes tho after Jen jumped their shit. But they cheaped out and only did the front. So now I have to twist their arm and try to get the back done, which was the majority of the problem anyways. Retards.
Well my page rank has joined my wife and sister’s at the big O. Apparently any page that has paid links has taken a huge chop to their page ranking. This is a pretty lame attempt to keep pages with google ads up top to make more money for them. This is the second time Google has done something that has affected me negatively, and its things like this that make we want to quit using their products at all. They think they own the internet. Its insane. I am curious to see how this will affect many sites. Until then there is always Mizuno golf.

It would be great if i could stop fucking coughing! I’ve already managed to wake the baby, and I’m sure Jen is loving the noise. Our work evaluations are coming up, and even more so than last year they are going to be total fucking bullshit. My boss is gone, and already did the evaluations. Now we have to do these self evaluations, meet with a manager who doesn’t know shit about what we do and compare our results with what the former boss put down. I can already feel that I will get the shaft again. But I will just do what they pay me to do, and not a damn thing more. I need to transfer or something. Working in the rain really sucks a fat one. Work in general is fucking retarded. If we were all immortal then ok….I can see working full time. But we have to spend more of our lives at work than anything else, and I think thats a pretty shitty system. Good work on that one.
So the posts are knocked out, the dishes are done, Gavin is off to school, and of course Laura is napping. Prime Wow time. Of course tho the servers are still down, and probly will be for at least another 4-5 hours. I have an insane amount of movies backed up, but I couldn’t pick out a single one I even care to see. They are all so blah. Seems like everything that comes out now is either Holiday/Kids/Animated, lame action, pathetic horror, or retard comedy. Where are all the fucked up weird movies that require a bit of brainpower to enjoy? I really don’t think I can sit through another carbon copy of a movie. I think from now on I will enforce a 20 minute rule. If after 20 minutes of watching a movie I am not moderately interested in whats going on I will just move on to the next. I know there are great movies that take longer than 20 minutes to really unfold, but with the constant stream of crap coming out I will take that risk.
Looks like the servers will be down till around 1PM today. Thats a lot of crappy movies. I’m not sure thats the best way to spend a final day of vacation, but there isn’t much else going on right now. Besides it’s either that or watch more Wonder Pets.
If you had asked me a couple of weeks ago what phone I would get if I had a pocket full of cash, I probly would have said the Curve of the Pearl. D and I had been drooling over having a Blackberry with a trackball instead of the friking wheel on the side. My sister getting a pearl made it that much cooler too.
But since then I found the W490. It is almost the perfect phone. Mp3’s , a media slot, decent speed, and one of the clearest call qualities I’ve heard in a phone. Really the only time I don’t like the W490 is when my buddy Chip calls. He can be a tad hard to hear on the phone, and makes me miss the overly loud volume of my 8700. But I only talk to him maybe once a day for 20-30 minutes, so it’s no deal breaker.
But of course since I finally have a phone I feel is a keeper, a coworker of mine calls me to say his friend is selling his Pearl for $80 bucks. That is already a friking steal, but I know I can talk him down to at least $70. Thats less than half what the W490 is going to be when we get our phone bill. Given I haven’t gotten to actually see or test the Pearl yet. The deal is almost too good to be true, but we will see come Friday. I would love to send the W490 back and not have to stress over the huge phone bill I have created. I ordered it without even thinking how close it was to Christmas. Hopefully it won’t be a piece of crap, and going from the W490 to the Pearl won’t be very different. *cough* diamond rings *cough* Both have a media slot, mp3 players, and are small. If I do get the Pearl I think I will pass on the data plan this time around. It is really hard to justify an additional 20 bucks a month, basically just to read the warcraft forums. I don’t get much email, and noone ever wants to chat on anything but text anyway. Watch it be all beat up, broken, and stolen. I would’t be surprised.
The last day of my vacation has finally come. It was originally planned that I would only be taking 5 days off, but we all got so sick that I extended it to 9. Looking back on it, we really didn’t do anything at all. I don’t think I watched a single movie. We did watch quite a few episodes of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Easily my new favorite show. But that was pretty much it. I hardly got in much Warcraft. Think over all my characters I probly gained a total of 5 or 6 levels, which would be alright if the majority of it wasn’t on my low level Druid. The majority of the vacation was spent coughing, sneezing, hocking loogies, waiting on Gavin’s bus driver, doing dishes, picking up , watching these horrible nick cartoons, and trying to get moody ass Laura to take a nap. Just as I am now. It wasn’t the best vacation, by far, but at least noone was killed. I got to spend time with Jen for a change, but it hardly mattered because we were both sick the whole time. I think she slept for 4 of the 9 days.
Even tho I have been gone from work for that many days tho, I know that after being back for only a few hours I will already be sick of being there. It has become one of the most dysfunctional places I have ever worked, and with some of the upcoming changes it looks as tho it will only get worse. I miss the days we were so dead that going to work actually meant getting paid to play my psp. Ah memories. But I guess you have to put up with some stuff if you want to afford those luxury homes. Not that I want or need one.
